There’s many things you can say about the class 425, but it’s not exactly beautiful. Here, 425 601 is heading into Cologne Trade fair/Deutz, where it will start it’s journey to Koblenz Main Station as RB26.
The class 425 is one of a huge family that also includes the class 423. The main difference between these two is that the 425 is meant for longer distances and normal tracks, instead of just S-Bahn, so it has less doors and steps to be able to get in from lower platforms. Due to this, it looks slightly different as the lower part with the white stripe goes down lower than on the 423. What it does share with the 423 are the most inconvenient seats seen in German railroading since they stopped putting in wooden benches. Just horrible.
