Today my father and I were in Nordhausen, shooting different kinds of railroads. Here, GT4 81 of Nordhausen’s tram is sitting in the evening sun at the depot.

I guess ~TramwayPhotography can tell you more about this kind of vehicle, so I’ll just say that it was originally designed for Stuttgart. Nordhausen bought a total of eight of them used in the 1990s. These days, they are mainly replaced again by modern Siemens Combino Trams, and are only used as reserve. What is interesting is that this one, like most of it’s kind in Nordhausen, still has the colors it wore in Stuttgart.
