Dieser Post ist Englisch weil ich hoffe, dass ein paar Leute, die kein Deutsch sprechen, sich das ansehen. Bald kommt hier ein neues, selbstgeschriebenes CMS was mehrere Sprachen unterstützt, aber bis jetzt war ich dafür zu faul.
I started working on a game with OpenGL. This is not the first time that I did so, but this time I write everything Mac OS X only and hope to make my code much easier. Also, I get more experience with every abandonded project, so one day I will create something which is great, I’m sure.
However, at the moment, I’m not there yet. But still, it does everything I expect it to do right now. Which isn’t much, only rendering a heightmap and displaying an object, both with texture. However don’t have a nice heightmap with a nice texture, so what you see here are my own attempts at doing something like that, and especially the texture doesn’t look nice. It’s only a proof of concept and I won’t release a game with such textures.
The next plans for the game are the following:
- Having a real texture for the heightmap
- Improving camera code
Once I’m done with that, I’ll see what I can do next, but I plan to integrate Newton, a free physics engine (free as in beer, not speech) some day. Please leave comments!
