I like Cologne’s central station. This should be obvious by now, but with pictures like these I like to repeat it. All these light points, the transparent rooftop, and of course the high amount of ICE 3s and other interesting things are always nice.
The ICE 3 was built specifically (though not only) for the high-speed line Cologne-Rhein/Main. I’m not sure why they didn’t just say Cologne-Frankfurt, but that’s the name. Anyway, as you’d expect there’s an awful lot of them in Cologne. This one is an ICE 3M not owned by DB, but (yet another one) owned by NS, the dutch railways. This one has the new paint scheme, which adds a new logo for the dutch trains, and a new font for the ICE script for all of them.
