Notes
Sociologists are very interested in the new idea of hanging locks on the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne as a sign of everlasting love. They judge that it is so popular because bridges (as symbols of connecting) and locks (as symbol of not separating) are both extremely popular signs for love. I’d personally add that railways feature in there somehow as well because trains are just cool, but I guess it’s for this reason that I’m not a recognized sociologist. Nevertheless, I did want to post a picture with a train and the locks. While interesting, this is not fully what I had in mind, but it’s got a class 644 Bombardier Talent DMU, and that has surprisingly many fans around here.
