And now, the conclusion. To get the train over the Montzenroute, the belgian part of which is electrified with 3 kV DC, two belgian class 55 diesels got put in front, resulting in three locomotives for three cars, not what I’d call lack of power.
What surprises me is that the the pantograph of the 120 is raised (and, thanks to some large spotlights on the carriage right behind it, lit). The carriage right behind the locomotive has an apparantly perfectly good measurement pantograph itself, so I do have to wonder why 120 502 got the job instead.
