Notes

The Bombardier TRAXX family has managed to become the most common type of electric locomotive (that isn’t just parked somewhere) in the region pretty quickly, in large part due to private operators. 185 562 is one of two that belong to ITL. ITL itself is a private company based in Saxony, but active everywhere with subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Poland. Since April it belongs to 75% to the french national railroad SNCF.

Despite being capable of multiple systems and at least capable of driving into Austria, whose electric and train control systems are compatible with Germany, this unit is only allowed to drive through Germany. It was standing here with the pantographs down and an empty train of auto racks. I expect that it’ll go on to pick up cars somewhere in Germany (or possibly even farther away).
