I’m not a big fan of the german class 111. It’s not old enough to be historic, but not recent enough to count as “shiny new toy” either, and it’s still available in large numbers. All in all, one of the most boring types of locomotives I know. Nevertheless, it is a locomotive and occasionally, I do take a nice picture of it, such as this one with the RE4 to Aachen entering Wuppertal central station.
