Notes
After the Ferraris, this is probably not quite as interesting, but still, it’s something. Apparently a bus club sitting in Hildesheim also used today to make a journey to Goslar. What you can see here is an old MAN bus of the VÖV 1 category. The VÖV 1 was a standard bus manufactured by nearly all west german bus factories with different drivetrains and in different formats, but with, for example, identical glass pieces on all. It has completely disappeared from normal service these days.
This one still has old Deutsche Bundesbahn (german federal railway) logos. The german railroad is actually a major bus operator in Germany, although it wasn’t always obvious from the buses that a particular bus operating company belonged to DB. That has changed now, all DB buses will be re-painted to traffic red. Interestingly, this old bus has a matrix display. No idea where it got that from. I also like the ancient advertising on the side.
