Notes
The class 66 is known as “shed” in it’s (kind of) country of origin, Great Britain, due to it’s body looking like a cheap garden shed. I’m not aware of any german nickname for the unit, but shed certainly fits. The black 9280 1266 115-5 D-RTB here is owned by leasing company MRCE (Mitsumi Rail Capital Europe), and is currently working for Rurtalbahn (hence the RTB at the end of the number).
I’d probably continue to make the very few Aachen rail fans guess where this was taken, but any Aachen rail fan who isn’t able to recognize the stop point (it’s not legally recognized as a station due to having no switches) Aachen Schanz is a lost case anyway.
