Notes
I was originally planning to call this picture “Walk through the fire”, since that was the song playing on my iPod when I took it and I couldn’t think of anything better, but there’s only so many jokes you can make about a topic before it becomes two in a row.
Drei Annen Hohne station is, like most of the HSB network, a little odd. On the one hand there’s modern light signals and LCD train indicators on the platforms, on the other hand it still uses a lot of spring switches. The station building itself is a nice typical Harz building, which seems to be mainly used as a restaurant these days. What you can also see on this picture is that the line is really used. Most trains we saw were full.
99 7242 is waiting with the train to Nordhausen after having received new water.
