There’s a small road leading up a hill that gives a nice view of the Schwebebahn. However, as you get only a very small part of the line, you have to time your pictures exactly right to get one not obscured by either pillar 62 (here on the left) or 61 (right). I got lucky.

This part of Wuppertal looks rather nice, as the old buildings match the old structure of the suspended railway rather well. However, I doubt that many people actually want to live there. The Schwebebahn is very noisy, and it offers an excellent view into the windows of people living in the first (for americans second) level.
