Notes

I take way too little pictures of the DB class 225s (this may in fact be my first one, I’d have to look) that are very, very frequent around Aachen West. The 225 is the very same as the 215, they just got renumbered when they were sold to the freight division of DB whose name I really, honestly don’t know at the moment since it’s undergone quite a lot of changes. The 215 in turn belongs in with mainly the class 218, still the standard passenger diesel locomotive of the DB.

Now, just when the heavily-patched 225 026 was looking out, in the background the belgian .5526 came as well. I’m not sure whether the . is really a part of the official number, I’ve heard some treat it like it is while others seem to forget it. Finally, to the left, an assortment of Ford cars that have just come from Ford’s factory in Brussels and will be distributed in Germany or possibly all over Europe.
